Bob Costas hands torch to Mike Tirico as new NBC Olympics host

With the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea a year away, Bob Costas announces he will be handing over hosting duties to sportscaster Mike Tirico. “Mike is now shadowing my every move, it’s kind of creepy,” he jokes. Costas has served as the prime-time host of the Olympics for a record 11 straight Games, starting in Barcelona in 1992. He will continue as a contributor for NBC Sports. More on this story
